Online Nursing Stories

I was able to get really quick responses when I had questions or concerns, and I had really good support. That was a huge plus in making this work for me. It’s been, I would say overall, a really good experience. I work with several people who are in different online programs, so there’s always questions on different styles and on how online programs are done. I’m still happy I chose DSN. I have been able to apply what I have studied in both the Professional Issues in Nursing course and the Statistics course. I am pleased it is usable information and relevant to my job.

I know we talked recently on the phone but I wanted to take the time to personally thank everyone that helped me in my journey to start my career. As you know I will be starting work October 28th for University of Colorado Hospital's New Graduate Residency Program on the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit. I really appreciate all your help in the process of obtaining this position. Not only did you help me prepare for my interviews, help build me an incredible resume/portfolio, and write me a memorable letter of recommendation, but you have also given me the confidence and determination to find an excellent job! Thank you again, I cannot wait to start my career as a nurse and I could not have done it without you!
Sincerely,
Keli Cain, RN, BSN!

Hope all's well with you!  I just wanted to let you know that I was recently accepted into the new grad program at Sky Ridge!  I got the job on the same floor where I have been volunteering for a few months :)  I had my first day of orientation today and so far everything is going great!  Thanks so much for all of the time you spent preparing me for interviews and following up after graduation; it's finally paid off!!
Karin Lindback, RN BSN

Thank you so very much for your efforts in helping me get my first nursing job at Sky Ridge Medical Center. I could not be happier! Your prep helped me feel more confident and poised than if I had done it on my own. Thanks again.

I wanted to let you know that I was finally able to take the NCLEX on Monday here back in Omaha, NE.  PASSED the first try!!!!  I will be starting at Methodist Hospital in Omaha in the Operating Room on Monday, 11/18.  I wanted to thank you for all of your support and getting me reading for everything.  I really do appreciate it.  Taking that test and waiting for the results was the most stressed and nervous I think I have ever been.  Good to see that everything paid off.
Thanks again,
Darin Watson, RN, BSN, ACLS, BLS, CNA  (Haha, did I miss anything)

Just wanted to let you know the amazing opportunity that has been given to me.  I accepted a RN position at Parkview Medical Center here in Pueblo, Co.  When I spoke to the supervisor during my interview, I used the interview tools you taught me and she was impressed with my resume and cover letter that we worked on!!  Just wanted to say thank you for all you did for me, it is greatly appreciated.  I will never be able to say thank you enough for your hard work!  I'm ready to take on my new position as a nurse and will wear my DSN pin proudly on my name badge!!
Thanks again!!
